Summer Social News

Hi Guys- so I've been busy at the shop planning a million parties! Blogging had to take a back seat for a while because I was living life for real- NOT behind a computer screen. Jealous? You will be after you look at the photos from last Fridays Summer Social opening party, the vintage pop-up shop by Shoebox Vintage that is going on until the end of the weekend.
We all had a lot of important fashion opinions, I think this photo captures that.

By far the best photo of the evening

Things got sassy towards the end of the night with Jenn.

All of these photos were taken by Galit, my new favourite photographer.  Stop by the shop this weekend and check out the rest of the Summer Social pop-up shop!

  7. a good time all around
Perfect! I knew you would like that! Then stop by the shop on Friday night with a bunch of your girlfriends and I promise to deliver all of those things AND MORE!*

Busby Berkeley

I am embarrassed to say I am just learning about this guy... I know it's total vintage nerd stuff, but can you IMAGINE choreographing this? Can you IMAGINE this as current popular entertainment for adults, just sitting down at a theatre? My mind....

Picnic radios are back!

Picnic Radio $34
Remember these from last summer when Russet and Empire was just a wee slip of a thing? Yes! These solar/crank radios are back on the shelves in all of their genius. One minute of cranking=20 mins of music and a few hours of sunlight will charge this puppy for 7 hours of tunes. Not to mention its adorable and ready to throw in your bike basket to go to the park.

New Cameras! Free Film!

Diana mini $50. You know this one already.  Like the Diana+ but 35mm (regular film). Produces dreamy square shots or 2 half frames per photo. Without the flash it is teeny tiny with a matching price, and makes for great summertime outdoor shooting.
La Sardina Marathon $59. This pretty thing is brand spanking new and takes the same dreamy shots as the diana mini, but film frame with a WIDE ANGLE LENSE. So basically everything will look grand and expansive (not expensive). Plus it looks like a sardine can. PLUS because we love you guys, if you buy either of these pretty ladies this weekend we'll give you a roll of slide film to shoot with.

Over and out.
